NO PARENT IS PERFECT

Despite what society, social media, and that voice tells you in your head tells you, there's no perfect way to parent your child.

All those picture perfect moments on Instagram are just moments captured at the right time!

Modern family life comes in all shapes and sizes, with different wants, needs, and plenty of competing priorities.

Stop holding yourself to an impossible standard. It doesn't exist.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

THINGS CAN'T CONTINUE AS THEY ARE

All you want is for your child to be happy. To give them the best life. But achieving this can feel like a struggle.

They are your top priority. Their needs always come first. You feel guilty about wanting just a little time for yourself.

All this leaves you feeling stressed, exhausted, frustrated and even resentful of your children.

You're tired of shouting to be heard. Hiding in the toilet, just to have a minute to yourself. There is another way...

EASING THE STRESS OF PARENTING

As rewarding as parenting can be, it can also feel like a 24/7 nightmare job!

When there are challenges at home, a rise in stress levels, a pandemic that never ends... It can be hard to find your way through the stormy seas.

The Parent Harbour® helps parents when they need it most. We help you find your way with parenting, no matter what the challenges are.

Our supportive community will help you feel confident, reduce your stress and find your way through any parenting challenge.

The Parent Harbour® is a safe space for parents to get some headspace.

MEET ALICE

Hi, I'm ALICE

I'm a child psychologist and parent coach.  I help high striving, overwhelmed parents find their way with parenting so they can give the best of themselves, not what's left of themselves, to their family.

After 15 years of supporting children and families, I understand the importance parents' mental health has on their children's mental health. When our stress levels rise, their stress levels rise, and when our mental health suffers, theirs does too...

But as a working parent of two young children, I also know how challenging, lonely and - let's be honest - at times, mind-numbing, parenthood can be.

That's why I set up The Parent Harbour®. To help parents when the seas get choppy and you need a kind and helping hand.

Parent Burnout Workbook

AM I BURNT OUT?

When does too much stress become burnout?

Parental burnout is the physical, mental and emotional exhaustion felt when parents experience chronic stress due to their parenting role. It is different to perinatal mental illness (e.g. postnatal depression), depression and work burnout, but can often get mistaken for other mental health difficulties.

To find out if you might be experiencing parental burnout, download our parental burnout mini guide which includes a questionnaire to help you identify if you have any of the common features associated with parental burnout.
